Cambridgeshire Police History

I am a retired Cambridgeshire Police Officer with a keen interest in the history of the Force and the Officers who had served in the police forces that now make up the modern Cambridgeshire Constabulary. 

The police forces concerned are Cambridge Borough/City Police, Cambridge County Police (Cambridgeshire Constabulary, isle of Ely Constabulary, Wisbech Borough Police, Huntingdonshire Constabulary, Liberty of Peterborough Police and Peterborough City Police (Peterborough Combined Police from 1947). 

Limitations

Many of the older records no longer exist, research has been done over many years to build a database of Police officers that have served. Information has been collected from newspapers, archives and online sources.
